With this kit, students uncover the mystery of microbial life.
They take samples from their surroundings, place them in an agar solution, and discover the tiny colonies of living things all around them.
The kit was developed by Edward Alcamo for grades nine through 12.
Ordering information: This kit includes a teacher's guide and material for 30 students. A hot plate or Bunsen burner, microscope, bleach, staining material (Crystal Violet Methylene blue), and water dropper are required but not included.
