| Description | Purity: > 85% by SDS - PAGE Format: Liquid. In Phosphate Buffered Saline (pH 7.4) containing 10% glycerol. TYRP1, also known as 5, 6-dihydroxyindole-2-carboxylic acid oxidase, is a melanosomal enzyme that belongs to the tyrosinase family and plays an important role in the melanin biosynthetic pathway. It is a melanocyte-specific gene product involved in eumelanin synthesis. It is involved in the oxidation of 5,6-dihydroxyindole-2-carboxylic acid(DHICA) into indole-5,6-quinone-2-carboxylic acid. It is regulated by the microphthalmia-associated transcription factor(MITF). Recombinant human TYRP1, fused to His-tag at C-terminus, was expressed in insect cell and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques. |
