| Description | Rabbit polyclonal antibody to THBS4 also known as TSP4 whose expression can be detected in the atrium auricular region and dorsal thalamus but it is highly expressed in the cerebral cortex. It is found in the sarcoplasmic reticulum. This protein can bind to structural extracellular matrix (ECM) proteins and modulates the ECM in response to tissue damage, contributing to cardioprotective and adaptive ECM remodeling and also contributes to spinal presynaptic hypersensitivity and neuropathic pain states after peripheral nerve injury. It may play a role in regulating protective astrogenesis from the sub ventricular zone (SVZ) niche after injury in a NOTCH1-dependent manner. |
