| Description | Rabbit polyclonal antibody to interleukin -10 also known as IL10 which belongs to the IL10 super family that is highly expressed by adipocytes and EBV-transformed lymphocyte. This protein is found in the extracellular region. IL10 is a pleiotropic cytokine that has been shown to inhibit activation of, and cytokine generation by, mast cells, as well as survival of, and cytokine production by, eosinophils. It also inhibits antigen-presenting cell (APC) function, including the maturation of dendritic cells, the expression of MHC class II and co-stimulatory molecules and the activation of T-helper-2 cells, IL-10 has been shown to enhance immunoglobulin isotype switching in B cells, and it might promote the induction of IL-10-secreting regulatory T cells. |
