| Description | Mouse Anti-ADIPOQ Recombinant Antibody (ADPN/1370). This product is a mouse antibody that recognizes ADIPOQ. The antibody ADPN/1370 can be used for immunoassay techniques such as: IHC-P. This gene is expressed in adipose tissue exclusively. It encodes a protein with similarity to collagens X and VIII and complement factor C1q. The encoded protein circulates in the plasma and is involved with metabolic and hormonal processes. Adiponectin is a hormone secreted by adipocytes that regulates energy homeostasis and glucose and lipid metabolism. Adipocytes also produce and secrete proteins such as leptin, adipsin, various other complement components, and tumor necrosis factor, suggesting a possible link to the immune system.
