| Description | Dehydrated culture media suitable for the microbial assay and detection of antibiotics in milk and plate counts in pharmaceutical products. The activity of an antibiotic can be demonstrated under suitable conditions by its inhibitory effect on organisms. Components shown as g/liter: Agar 20 Dextrose 2.5 Potassium Phosphate, Dibasic 2.5 Sodium Chloride 5.0 Papaic Digest of Soybean Meal 3.0 Pancreatic Digest of Casein 17.0 Total: 50.0g/liter Directions per Liter: Dissolve 50 grams per liter of ddH2O. Heat with stirring until dissolved. Dispense into appropriate containers, loosen caps and autoclave (15psi) for 15 minutes at 121°C. |
