| Description | MYL9/MYL12 Monoclonal Antibody (AWBMyl9F6 (F-6)). Myosin regulatory light polypeptide 9 is a highly conserved, ubiquitously expressed protein that in humans is encoded by the MYL9 gene. Myosin, a structural component of muscle, are hexameric proteins consisting of two heavy chains and four light chains, including a single pair of nonphosphorylatable light chain subunits and another pair of phosphorylatable light chain subunits.The protein encoded by this gene is a myosin light chain that may regulate muscle contraction by modulating the ATPase activity of myosin heads.
