| Description | Purity ≥ 80%. NFkB exists in the cytoplasm as a complex with a 38kDa inhibitor protein, IkB (MAD-3). Activation of NFkB by different stimuli, including TNFa and PMA, requires the dissociation of the inhibitor protein. Dissociation is regulated by the phosphorylation of IkB on serine residues 32 and 36 which targets IkB for ubiquinitation and proteasome mediated degradation. The NFkB complex then translocates to the nucleus and activates transcription of responsive genes. AA Sequence: RQP PSP ASK PLP DDP NPA Control peptide should be used at 1mg per 1ml of antiserum in per assay. Intended for use as a control peptide when used with anti-IkB beta (C-terminal specific) to block specific interaction of anti-IkB beta (C-terminal specific) with the IkB beta subunit. |
