Product Name | Glycogenin, Recombinant Human (GYG1, GYG) |
Description | Purity ~ 95% by SDS-PAGE Purified by immunoaffinity chromatography. Glycogenin 1 is an enzyme involved in glycogen biosynthesis. Glycogenin 1 is important for the function of self-glucosylates, via an inter-subunit mechanism, to form an oligosaccharide primer that serves as substrate for glycogen synthase. Also, it plays a role in regulating glycogen metabolism and the attainment of maximal glycogen levels in skeletal muscle. Recombinant human Glycogenin 1, fused to His-T7-tag at N-terminus, , expressed in E. coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.
