| Immunogen | Chickens were immunized with a peptide/ keyhole limpet hemocyanin (KLH) conjugate. The synthetic peptide corresponded to a region shared between the mouse (P60202, NCBI) and human gene products [PLP1 isoform 1 (NP_000524, NCBI), PLP1 isoform 2 (NP_955772, NCBI)]. The sequence can be found between amino acid 26-75. After repeated injections into the hens, immune eggs were collected, and the IgY fractions were purified from the yolks. These IgY fractions were then affinity-purified using a peptide column, the concentration of the eluate adjusted to 100 ug/ml, and the preparation was filter-sterilized. |
