Unlike the other paramyxovirus attachment proteins, lacks both neuraminidase and hagglutinating activities.Secreted glycoprotein G helps RSV escape antibody-dependent restriction of replication by acting as an antigen decoy and by modulating the activity of leukocytes bearing Fcgamma receptors. |
