It exerts anti-inflammatory effects, which results from the inhibition of NF-?B activation in macrophages, thereby decreasing production of iNOS and proinflammatory cytokines. Recently it has been shown that Liquiritigenin inhibits Amyloid-Beta (25-35)-induced neurotoxicity and secretion of Amyloid-Beta (1-40) in rat hippocampal neurons. Also a highly selective estrogen receptor Beta agonist. |
