The catenins (@alpha;, β, γ, and δ) are ubiquitously expressed, cytoplasmic proteins that associate with E-cadherin at cellular junctions. α-catenin can also bind P-cadherin and N-cadherin. γ-catenin, also known aas plakoglobin, is an 82kDa protein that binds with a-catenin and N-cadherin. |
