Description | Purified anti-EGR2. Early Growth Response 2 (EGR2), also known as CMT1D or CMT4E, is a transcription factor belonging to the C2H2-type zinc-finger EGR protein family. EGR2 is located in the nucleus and binds to two specific sites of the promoter region of HoxA4 gene. EGR2 is implicated in hindbrain development, peripheral myelination, tumor suppression, T- and B-cell development, and T-cell tolerance and anergy. Krox20 has been found to participate in fate determination in the myeloid lineage. It interacts with PU.1 to enhance transcription of the macrophage-specific gene c-fms, which encodes the macrophage colony-stimulating factor (M-CSF) receptor. Defects in EGR2 gene are associated with Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease, the most common inherited disorder of the peripheral nervous system. |
Immunogen | Partial human EGR2 recombinant protein (51-300 a.a.) expressed in E. coli. |
