Product Name | Eotaxin-2, Recombinant, Human |
Description | Purity ~95% (SDS-PAGE). Eotaxin belongs to the platelet factor-4 family of chemokines. The gene symbol is SCYA11. The factor is being referred to also as Eotaxin-1 and has been renamed CCL11. Eotaxin induces substantial accumulation of eosinophils in the skin without significantly affecting the accumulation of neutrophils. Eotaxin is a potent stimulator of both guinea pig and human eosinophils in vitro. The Eotaxin receptor is a G-protein-coupled receptor selectively expressed in human eosinophils. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to human Eotaxin-2 expressed in E. coli. Molecular Weight: ~9kD Biological Activity: Determined by the ability to induce chemotaxis of purified eosinophils at concentrations ranging between 50-100ng/ml. Endotoxin: <1EU/ug (LAL) |
