| Description | MBL2 Monoclonal Antibody (11F11). Mannan-binding lectin (MBL) belongs to the C-type family of collectins. On specific binding to microbial surface carbohydrates, MBL activates the complement system by means of its own lectin pathway, depending on the MBL-associated serine proteases (MASPs). Investigations have shown that up to 12% of normal blood donors have low (<50 ng/mL) MBL plasma concentrations. |
