Supreme RPMI is capable of supporting cellular proliferation and cell densities comparable to the conventional formulation requiring FBS supplementation of 10%.

Serum supplementation can be reduced 5 times with no major change in growth rate, viability or morphology. Cell culture is extended up to 10 passages in reduced serum.

Applications
Supreme RPMI is a substitution to RPMI 1640 when reduced serum supplementation is desirable. Supreme RPMI is useful in anchorage-dependent and suspension culture and can replace RPMI 1640 in the same common applications: fusion protocols and growth of hybrid cells, culture of normal human leukocytes in monolayer and suspension. Supreme RPMI is also suited for the culture of various cell lines including HeLa, Jurkat, MCF-7, PC12, PBMC, astrocytes, and carcinoma.

Recommendations
Supplement with 1- 5% FBS before use. Supplement with 4 mM L-glutamine.
