Cryopreservation Medium is a ready-to-use medium for the preservation of cells as seed stock or for future investigative study. Cryopreservation allows you to preserve and protect your cell line stock(s) from over culturing that can lead to unwanted changes within cellular properties or lead to senescence.
The FBS in the Cryopreservation Medium improves the post-freezing recovery and survival after cryopreservation, while DMSO preserves the cells during freeze. Cryopreservation Medium with Fetal Bovine Serum (FBS) and Calf Serum is a complete cryopreservation medium with 10% DMSO.
