Product Name | Recombinant Mouse JAML-Fc Chimera (carrier-free) |
Description | Junctional adhesion molecule-like (JAML), also known as AMICA, is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein that belongs to junctional adhesion molecule (JAM) subset of the immunoglobulin superfamily. JAM family members contribute to intercellular connections within epithelial and endothelial cell layers by facilitating tight junction assembly. They also orchestrate recruitment of leukocytes to sites of inflammation and wound repair. JAML expression is restricted to the hematopoietic tissues, and is upregulated during the differentiation of myeloid leukemia cells. JAML controls leukocyte migration and activation by interacting with CXADR. JAML and CXADR interaction induces the activation of gamma-delta T-cells through PI3-kinase and MAP kinases which leads to proliferation of T cells and production of cytokines and growth factors. JAML is implicated in tissue homeostasis and repair. JAML also mediates adhesion of monocytes to endothelial cells, and neutrophil migration across epithelial cell monolayers. |
